MA in Creative Writing

Hello friends,

If I look pleased with myself, it’s because I am.

I have been accepted to UQ (University of Queensland) to study an MA in Creative Writing!!!!

I still have no idea how I’m going to pay for it, as I’m not eligible for a student loan, BUT I will find a way, because I’ve been accepted into an MA y’all!!

I haven’t been this excited about something for a long time, and I am so so ready to take this next step on my writing journey.

It’s rather unfair that I’m not entitled to a student loan in Australia, because I have lived in Australia for 11 years and both my children were born in Australia. But, because I have a NZ passport, I am not eligible. This is the main reason why I have not applied to do an MA in the past. However, late last year I decided that I would just do it and see what happened. And here I am – accepted and absolutely certain that it’s the right path.

So, dear friends, if you have any ideas about how I can raise funds please let me know! If I could raise enough to pay for the first semester, I could get a tutor job within the Uni and then apply for a personal loan or something similar. I’m considering GoFundMe for fundraising, and Patreon as a long-term option. But, you guys and gals might know something I don’t, so please let me know.
